Why Operation Second Chance?
Operation Second Chance was founded in 2004 and has been committed to serving our nations wounded, injured, and ill veterans and their families. Founder, Cindy McGrew, started the organization after spending time visiting members of a friends unit returning to Walter Reed. After seeing the needs of families in the hospital, Cindy began providing emergency financial assistance and helping families with basic essentials. In the past 10 years, Operation Second Chance has provided over 3 million dollars in financial assistance across the country. This included emergency flights and hotel stays, help with rent and mortgages, and also assistance with utilities, groceries and other daily essential items. The organization holds over 100 retreats and moral events each year and have been committed to keeping overhead cost to a minimum. Are you a club interested in joining Motoring for Veterans?
