It gives me great pride to give back in meaningful way to a special group of local American heroes and families that have made significant sacrifices for our freedom and protection.Walt Ellenberger
My mother was a nurse during World War II at the Bronx VA Hospital. She married a veteran who sadly died from complications of his paralysis a year after their marriage. Having experienced her life through stories and photos, this cause is near and dear to my heart. I was caring for Mom in Cape May and after she died I moved across the Delaware Bay last June. Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, I found Operation Second Chance. After a wonderfully inspiring day at Paddle Second Chance with a team of warm and welcoming volunteers and veteran families...I was hooked and have been on board ever since.Cathy Melfi
Paddle Second Chance provides us an opportunity to bring together a community of wounded soldiers, their families and paddle enthusiasts for a day of fun and celebration. Funds raised directly support our Delaware region families. What an honor it is to be a part of this cause.Val Ellenberger
PSC is an exciting event designed to help us boost our financial support to our community of wounded veterans. It is my privilege to serve on the Paddle Second Chance Board as an opportunity to give back, in a small way, to the heroes that fight so proudly for our freedom! Thank you to everyone who supports the cause!Sheila Cisco
I joined PSC for those who have served our country, sacrificed so much and continue to struggle with physical and/or emotional challenges. Also, for caregivers’ tireless support and courageous attitude to do whatever it takes to make it through another week.Tim Cisco
